At Easton Planning Consultants we employ a 4-step consultation process to guide you through the development application process and assist you in obtaining the desired outcome for your site.
Step 1 Initial client discussion
We offer initial advice where we analyse your site restrictions (such as zoning, heritage, height), discuss with you your vision and outline potential development steps.
Step 2 Desktop analysis
During desktop analysis, we take a thorough look into your project comparing the final design for the site against applicable planning controls. During the desktop review, we analyse the presiding legislation and identify the need for any additional technical reports (e.g. Traffic management report).
Step 3 Preparation and lodgement of your application to Council
In this step we prepare and lodge your development application to Council. The lodgement pack generally includes: town planning report (Statement of Environmental Effects), architectural plans and any other technical reports required. Council have different lodgement requirements however owner’s consent is always required therefore we advise our clients to prepare this as soon as possible to avoid any delays.
Step 4 Development Application management
In the last step, we manage the development application process and provide you with regular updates on the status of your project. In this step, we also address any enquires from Council and respond to any submissions received (if required) during the notification phase of your application. After the development application is determined, we provide a review of the determination and outline next steps which need to be taken for your project.
